We’d like to let you know that our Solana de Ramírez White wine continues to rack up awards. In this case, it’s 90 points—a silver medal—at the major international wine competition held in the United Kingdom, the Decanter World Wine Awards.
DWWA's most influential wine competition
First of all, let’s explain what the Decanter International Wine Awards is. It’s considered the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. Judged by top experts and renowned Masters of Wine, the DWWAs are internationally acclaimed for their rigorous evaluation process and widespread exposure. For this reason, we decided to have our wines tasted by this prestigious jury.
Blanco Solana de Ramírez 90 Points
The 90 points – Silver Medal achieved confirm the excellent quality of the 2022 vintage and reaffirm the award for best white wine quality price awarded last February by Master of Wine Tim Atkin in the Rioja Wine Report.
Solana de Ramirez began producing white wines in 2000, using varieties that aren’t common in Rioja. We were pioneers in including Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo among our varieties.
This wine comes from our “Guardian” and “La Venta” plots, located in the northern highlands of Abalos at an average altitude of 750 m. These vineyards are cultivated using the latest technology and hand-picked, allowing for a selection of the finest grapes.
Finally, we encourage you to try our Solana de Ramírez White Wine on a wine tourism visit to our winery or in our online Rioja wine shop, where we’ll deliver it to you wherever you need it…
