Uvas viñedo Solana de Ramírez
Our Rioja Crianza wines from Bodegas Solana de Ramírez are part of the Valsarte range. We have both 100% Tempranillo single varietals and Tempranillo and Graciano coupages. Both formulas are faithful representatives of the unmistakable style of the D.O. Ca. Rioja.
Perfect for pairing with red meats, cured meats and cured cheeses. Two essential references that symbolize the good work of our Bodega Solana de Ramírez.

We have two references: Valsarte crianza Clásico and Valsarte crianza Superior, which in turn are available in different formats: 37.5 cl, 75 cl and Magnum.

Characteristics of our Rioja red wine

The crianza D.O.Ca Rioja wines of Bodegas Solana de Ramírez are characterized by their elegance, balance and complexity.
They are aged for a minimum of 12 months in American and French oak barrels and 8 months in bottle in our winery in Ábalos (La Rioja).

Red wine elaborated in our winery in Ábalos

Our Valsarte Crianza wines are made at our family winery in the heart of Sonsierra, Rioja, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. Harmoniously integrated into its surroundings, we make our wines here, respecting tradition while employing the latest technology, allowing us to produce wines of the highest quality.

Elegance, balance and complexity

Valsarte crianza wines genuinely represent the terroir and the character of the Rioja D.O.Ca. Classic Crianzas for the new times that condense in each bottle the idiosyncrasy of our land.

Ageing in oak barrels

Aging in oak barrels for 12 months brings elegance, complexity and balance to the wine. The oak transmits diverse aromas while micro-oxygenation softens the tannins and rounds the palate. A process that enhances the quality of the wine. The wine is then aged for 8 months in our Ábalos winery.

Valsarte Crianza Classic and Valsarte Crianza Superior

Our two crianza wines are made with the care and affection that we put into all our wines. Two references with different nuances thanks to the composition of varieties and their aging times that make them two essential for wine lovers and enjoyment.

Be sure to try our Crianza Classic 100% Tempranillo and our Crianza Superior 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano.

Why choose Valsarte wine?

Valsarte Crianza Clásico and Valsarte Crianza Superior are two wines produced in our winery Solana de Ramírez in Ábalos (La Rioja). They represent the genuine character of the crianza wines of our region. Elegant and balanced, each one brings different nuances to the most demanding palates.

Selected harvest

Each bunch of grapes is carefully selected in the vineyard at the time of harvesting, guaranteeing that the grapes used in winemaking will be those of the highest quality in terms of ripenesssizecolor and general appearancel.

Handpicking

The grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard and harvested by hand to guarantee their quality.

Destemming of the grapes

The stems are removed from the grapes to prevent the wine from becoming bitter.

Gravity transfer to tanks

The grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks by gravity, without the need for pumping, to preserve the integrity of the grapes.

Fermentation in tanks for 15 days at a temperature of 25º

The must ferments at a controlled temperature for 15 days, which allows the sugars to be transformed into alcohol and the aromas and flavors of the wine to develop.

Pressing

Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the skins are pressed to extract the remaining wine.

Tanks until malolactic fermentation

The wine is placed in stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation, a natural process that softens the wine’s acidity and rounds it out in the mouth.

Clarification and filtering

Suspended particles are removed from the wine to obtain a clean and bright final product.

Aging in barrels for at least 12 months

The wine is aged for at least 12 months in American and French oak barrels, which gives it complexity, elegance and balance.

Bottling

The wine is bottled using high quality cork stoppers.

Aging in subway cellars

After barrel aging, the wine rests in the bottle for 8 months to allow the flavors to integrate and the wine to reach its fullness.

Enjoy

Finally, the wine is ready to be enjoyed. It is recommended to be served at a temperature between 14º and 16º. Ideal for pairing with and accompanying red meat dishes, cured meats and cheeses.
