Our vineyards in the
heart of Rioja
We have several unique and very singular vineyards thanks to their age, altitude, orientation or situation with respect to the sun.
60 hectares of our own vineyards:
the heart of our winery
From the Sierra de Cantabria to the Ebro River
Our vineyards are located from north to south, from the foot of the Sierra Cantabria mountain range to the vicinity of the Ebro river. This fact gives us very unique vineyards with grapes of different varieties and different from each.
The soil is calcareous clay, which, together with the region’s microclimate caused by the Cantabrian and Mediterranean air currents, makes this area ideal for producing wines of excellent quality.

Our most unique vineyards
Pezón Negro
Pezón Negro is one of our most special and oldest vineyards. In this eare is rare to find centenary garnacha planted on different altars and that produces grapes of such a good quality. Due to the uniqueness of this vineyard, since 2019, we have been making a wine exclusively from this vineyard under the name of Pezón Negro, which is made 100% naturally and manually without the use of any type of machinery.
Carrapeciña
5 hectares of Tempranillo vines that are very close to the town that have been in the family since the 19th century. The vines are between15 and 50 years old. Then, we make a selection for our crianza and gran reserva wines.
Barredonda
2 hectares of Tempranillo at an altitude of 620 metres above sea level, in the high area of Ábalos, with vines planted 35 years ago, from which we make our Crianza wine.
Gallocanta
Our largest vineyard, with 12 hectares of Tempranillo grapes of different ages (from 10 to 40 years old), in the middle of which is hidden a unique ‘guardaviñas’ (hut) of grijos (grape vines) in our jurisdiction.
Guardian
Armentari
Vineyard of 4 hectares of Tempranillo and Viura planted 40 years ago on a hillside, which allows the grapes to ripen and keep in optimum conditions.
El meadero
La venta
San Bartolomé
30 year old tempranillo vineyard with stony soil, which is characterised by its alcohol content.
